Paul and Joe + Jamiraquoi = Rackstarz.

So last night I went to Olympia, a concert hall in Paris to allow Jamiraquoi's sweet voice to wash over me. I was totally unaware that he was part of the gig for Paul and Joe's fall/winter 2011 show. There was a major turnout with people stamping on each other's footwear, yanking on people's coats etc. All to get into a show of under ten minutes. And the joke is we showed up without any invites. Talk about overestimation. But it was all good because we knew the control and got in easy peasy lemon squeezy. It was a cool night all in all but this guy right here was the highlight for me.

Raquel Nave gives good face.

I met Raquel maybe 2 years ago. She has that cool factor where you wanna be her friend but you're a bit afraid to approach her because she may laugh in your face. Really, she is that cool. Luckily for me she didn't. I guess today I can loosely call her my friend because we met maybe 4 times and we chatted all of 5 times on facebook. But in that time I've confirmed all my preconceptions. She is hyper cool. Her style is her own and she fills the room with her presence. She is smart. She is extremely comfortable with her body. Just google her if you don't believe me. But the most important is that this girl can give face!!! Check out these goodies.

Raquel is a model and actor living in New York. She has worked with Terry Richardson, Jean Baptiste Mondino, Lenny Kravitz, Vogue, Zink magazine and shot campaigns for Diesel Fuel for Life, Eleven Paris. In addition she is a talented artist. This girl knows her shit when it comes to taking polaroids. She exhibited her work entitled Living Free in Hell last year. Raquel is presently preggers and it goes without saying that one day in the future she will be termed MILF (",)

Who said big red bows are for girls?

Today I had the red eye. Eeeecks not some eye infection but instead everywhere I looked I saw red! When I got out of the shower my eyes fell on a red jacket that I recently thrifted. I dressed up, walked out the door and got every red light. This was followed by red hats, red hair, red walls and red floors. Just when I thought I would scream if I caught another glimpse of red, he walked by me and pretty much stole my heart. Bolder than yesterday I said to him,"I have a blog and I would like to take your picture". As if he was the lucky one in this equation. He looked at me as if he was thinking,"Who is this girl with the weird accent." Well, I'm indian so that is a battle that can't be won.
So I searched for a spot which happened to be on a red carpet, of course. I clicked and he was on his way. Mister Red Bow man walk into my life again.

So I ask you again, "Who said big red bows were reserved for girls? Because he looked man enough to me."(¨,)

P.S. Don't faceless mannequins freak you out? You never know what they are thinking.

And then there is me in the outfit I wore today. Since I didn't want to ask some stranger to click it I had to come home and get my korean lover to do it.

Hi, my name is...Edward Achour.

I first met Edward last year. We had fun, I liked his clothes but thought they were for a more sophisticated woman. However on taking a closer look I saw that they worked brilliantly as separates. My fave was this long tweed jacket mixed with lace that seemed to go perfectly with a pair of ripped jeans I have. Unfortunately it costs many a penny as all the garments are handmade in France. So I let go of the vision of me strolling the streets with that extra spring in each step in my new Achour coat. Cut to a few months later and his fall winter collection is out which is only a million times better than his summer one. It is divided into 3 basic colour groups i.e. blue, red, beige . Along with that he has used his fabrics in the most brilliant way. Silk coats that look like tweeds, tweed jackets with hundreds of little pieces of other fabrics intertwined into it, add to that a few ostrich skirts and I'm pretty much the equivalent of someone addicted to crack.
Anywho, I was lucky enough to be able to visit his showroom today. I took a few pics. They are mostly details because his beauty is in the detail. I will try to shoot the whole looks soon. In my most southern accent I say, "Enjoy y'all."
