So I saw a rather interestingly dressed guy today.What drew me to him was the absolute confidence with which he wore his clothes. Not easy when his look involved multiple piercings, red tie and dye tights and blue eye makeup...but me likey!!! So I spent about 15 minutes staring at him creepily and just when he thought it couldn't get worse I interrupted his conversation and asked him if I could take a picture for my 6 post old blog. He was surprisingly sweet and followed me to find a clear spot. Ummmm what I should have been doing was to go back to grade school because I forgot that chapter on light and I shot him against the light!!! Zero details but I still thought I should upload so as not to waste some real beauty.
After him I saw the coolest hat in the world, it had a hand shaped into it.
Again against the light :(
I guess Patrick Demarchelier isn't calling me to assist very soon.

If you want a little insight into Corrado Di Biase go to Style.com. They have a wonderfully concise article on him. His collection is entitled Miami's Burning and rightly so. This designer to watch out for(style.com's words not mine. So must be taken seriously.) has an amazing ability to mix everything!! And he mixes them in the most perfect way. Chains with floral skirts, transparent organza shirts with large zippers. Must I go on? Corrado you had me at zippers.

Lady Gaga, Little Shilpa and moi...

Never thought I would say this but Lady Gaga and I share an accessories designer who goes by the name of Little Shilpa. Oh yes, on my third blog and I'm already name dropping. But you need those attention grabbing headlines, eh? So let me get back to Shilpa. As the name suggests, she is little, very little but has a big talent for making accessories original, fun and without boundaries.
She trained as a milliner at Central St Martins, after which she enhanced her skill under the direction of Philip Treacy. For this girl nothing is off bounds when it comes to inspiration be it guns, plastic bottles or toy soldiers. And with fans like Colin Mcdowell and a myriad of magazines lining up to work with her, she is obviously doing something right.She has collaborated with Another Man, Dazed Korea, Tank, Crash, Vogue Homme Japan and Vogue UK to name a few.
All her pieces are handcrafted and one off but as she says they may have a sister or cousin but never will you find an exact replica of the same piece.
To me she is a true artist but don't take my word for it, check out these images.
